What is Microneedling?

Your Gateway to Radiant Skin

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a non-invasive treatment that uses ultra-fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, increasing collagen and elastin production for a firmer, more youthful complexion. Each treatment is tailored to your skin’s specific needs, ensuring optimal results.

The Science Behind Microneedling

Stimulate, Heal, Renew

During your Microneedling session, a specialized device creates controlled microchannels in the skin, enhancing blood circulation and collagen production. To further amplify results, we offer advanced add-ons such as BioRePeel and Plated Exosomes, which deeply hydrate and rejuvenate your skin. As your skin heals, you’ll notice improved texture, reduced signs of aging, and a refreshed glow.

microneedling

To achieve the best results and minimize potential side effects, it’s important to prepare properly before your Microneedling treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 48 hours. Discontinue the use of retinol, exfoliants, and acids such as glycolic or salicylic acid 3 to 5 days before treatment. If you use acne treatments or other harsh skincare products, pause them to prevent irritation.

Additionally, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for 3 to 5 days, unless prescribed by your doctor. Arrive at your appointment with clean skin, free of makeup, sunscreen, or lotion, and inform your provider of any medications or health conditions beforehand.

Microneedling begins with a thorough skin assessment, followed by the application of a sterile microneedling device over the treatment area. The device creates tiny micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and stimulating collagen production. Most clients experience a mild prickling sensation, but a numbing cream can be applied for added comfort. The procedure typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

Aftercare is essential for achieving the best results and ensuring a smooth healing process. Avoid touching your face for the first few hours to keep the area clean, and refrain from applying makeup or skincare products (other than those provided by your provider) for at least 24 hours. To protect your skin, avoid direct sun exposure, sweating, and heat from saunas or intense workouts for 24 to 48 hours.

Use only the recommended post-care serum to support healing and collagen production, and avoid retinol, acids, and exfoliants for at least 5 to 7 days. Staying hydrated and following a gentle skincare routine with a physical SPF (zinc or titanium-based) starting the day after treatment will further support skin recovery. Mild redness and tightness are normal for the first 1 to 2 days, with possible light flaking as the skin renews itself.

Most clients notice an improvement in skin texture and tone within a few days of treatment. Since Microneedling stimulates collagen production, the skin continues to improve over the following weeks. Optimal results are typically seen within 4 to 6 weeks, with additional sessions recommended for enhanced results.

Microneedling is a great option for individuals looking to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, minimize acne scars, or even out skin tone. It is safe for most skin types; however, those with active acne, certain skin conditions, or a history of poor wound healing should consult with their provider to determine if Microneedling is the right choice for them.
